About Us!
Hey There! Iām Amanda! The baker here at Fallen Tree Farm!
I got started when I had a big life change and became a stay at home mom. Passions I had put to the side while in career mode were now able to be fully explored in my new way of life. I am born, raised, and reside in Scotia-Glenville. Starting up a home bakery happened when family, friends and community encouraged me to do so! I wanted to contribute to the family, farm and homestead. Despite reservations, and a belly full of butterflies, I jumped in and created the Fallen Tree Farm brand.
We have always been a hobby farm, therefore adding the home bakery and farmstand fell into place quite easily. We converted one of our old sheds into a farmstand and the idea took flight. We like to live life slowly and take in the sights. I describe my homemade baked goods as rustic, because i like to keep things simple, no frills. Keep things down to earth, homey and relatable.
We have ourselves a little hobby farm. Raising our personal livestock, growing gardens for produce, and enjoying life outdoors. I grew up riding horses and have a background in agriculture and education. I simply enjoy the farming lifestyle. If you follow our facebook page, I often share some stories about the shenanigans here on the farm. We raise chickens, bunnies, goats and horses. We do sell surplus eggs when we have them.
I love baking. I love sharing with others. I love making people smile. This little business has given me the opportunity to do all those things! I am just a simple gal, looking to bake wholesome baked goods for you to enjoy.
Thank you for taking a look at Fallen Tree Farm!
